Sort blondekjole opgraderet - Black lace dress opgraded

Nice dress, but the long sleeves made it difficult to style- And difficult to dress down, which I do more often than not.

Jeg pillede ærmerne af (og sømmede kanten).
I removed the sleeves and hemmed the arm opening edges.

Onto the open back of the dress.
I had two of these shapewear tops. I once bought them for next to nothing, and when I tried them on, I realised why no one wanted them: The bottom hems rolled up like crazy. I got one of the tops out and cut off the lower part of it, so it was 11 cm long (10 cm or 4" + seam allowance). I hemmed the edge and had a short crop top bra cover.

Og det var det. Nu en alsidig festkjole.
And that was it. Now a versatile dress for many occasions.

As another option for your backless dress:
A: remove the back neckline section.
B: take the shoulder materrial and use it to cover the lower area where your bra strap would land.

The backstrap you created serves your purpose, but asthectically creates an unesssary break in the back area.

Otherwise, the sleeveless dress looks much improved and no longer dumpy.

Thank you, that is a great idea. I might try it out one day.
